Thanks so much for the follow! ^^
So this post is definitely long overdue, but one of the highlights of my winter break (which is sadly ending soon -___-) was renting a cabin with my friends in the Poconos. The Arrowhead Lake vacation home was super comfy and had great amenities including: three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a hot tub, and well-stocked kitchen. My friends and I had such a blast grilling hamburgers (yep, we did it outside in the cold), skiing, playing boardgames (and drinking games) all night long. So, if you’re looking for a unique way to get out of the city and relax for a bit, renting a cabin with your friends is a great idea and this one goes highly recommended. Check out their website for more info and reviews :))
P.S. Yep, that’s me in the middle (and that creeper in the back with the bear hat is my boyfriend lol)
omg I can’t believe it, but I literally spent about two hours or so yesterday night looking for a new blog theme… At least I finally found it lol- very pink (I know) but I think it’s fitting for the new year, especially with Valentine’s Day coming up ;D Hope you guys like it!
Okay, now for my resolutions for 2012 (I know I sort of missed the mark on January 1st, but at least this post comes right in time for Chinese New Year hehe)
- Try to get an job doing something different from just teaching. I enjoy academia and all, but I looove blogging… fingers crossed that I’ll get an internship for TimeOut New York this summer ^^
- Participate more in class and at Grad Center events
- Get my driver’s license… finally
- Keep up with my blogger and various tumblr accounts haha
- Submit a paper for publication- actually getting published is another story lol
- Wake up earlier and stop procrastinating stuff I need to do
- Work more on my own art
- Pass my Italian language exam
- Read the news and exercise more regularly (I know it’s weird to pair these two together, but for me they’re equally hard to do)
- Learn how to swim (Yep. It’s getting super embarrassing)
Alright, happy (Chinese) New Year everyone! Hope you’re all working hard on your resolutions too :)
-xoxo a nerdy new yorker
